Loos

Loos
Of course we visited many public toilets on our big trip.
The most spectacular one was in Florence in a restaurant near the Ponte Vecchio. It was quite an event.

After a lovely lunch the loo was downstairs

with a couch to recline on if you were inclined.

and some sculptures to get you in the mood

and a nice plant to look at

                                                                Choose a door

and you're there!

The most challenging loo was at the lavender festival in Sault in Provence. No photos I'm afraid. Firstly there was a very long queue for port-a-loos so the need was quite acute on arrival. The booths were all connected, petite and raised off the ground. The whole structure rocked from side to side either from wind and/or other people. There was nowhere to place your bag and it was a squat toilet. I managed but it was physically testing!

We struck some more squat toilets in other places but usually with an alternative raised one as well. The one above was in Kenya at a road stop.

These were also at a road stop in Kenya. The pink tiles amused me. I chose the one below in case you're wondering!
