Merry Christmas
This year we are in Wellington, New Zealand for Christmas with our son Simon and his wife Maree and their boys.
Simon turned 40 a few days ago and we celebrated well. It is a time of reflection for us, as well as him, being old enough to have a 40 year old son.
We have a family tradition of making a gingerbread house at Christmas.
This year we have made one in Wellington with the boys. Please note Santa with his sleigh in front pulling presents!
The cutest question so far has been "Is Santa nocturnal?"
Dominic and Susan have moved to San Francisco. They made a gingerbread house and decorated it with the help of Susan's nieces. Please note the cat on top - probably Clyde who has moved from Melbourne to join them. Also the polar bears which they saw recently in the north of Canada.
Reuben and Sharon in Chicago made their gingerbread too with Susannah and Frederick. Please note the bridge which wins the best construction award.
Gingerbread houses are a great way of us all feeling connected at Christmas as a family.
The blog is a great way of us feeling connected with wider family and friends. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
